Being part of the industry for over 8 years, I’ve seen many companies struggle and unfortunately some fail too. These situations always made me think about what must have gone wrong, and the only logical explanation I could think of at that time was – ‘Maybe there’s something wrong in the way the company is executing their plans’ or ‘perhaps there are holes in their business strategy’. However, over the years, I’ve realised that a company’s problems have more to do with their culture than with their plan.
The way we communicate with each other, the way we operate, the decisions we make and the way we make them that makes a company’s culture; and Here’s what makes ours.
When you’re on a work call and the first thing everybody asks you is, ‘Hey, are you okay?’ ‘How was your day?’, you know you’re working with the right people. At Adtomica, we believe that everyone should be treated with respect and kindness. Just like there’s no room for error when we work, there’s no room for sleazy behaviour either. Moreover, all of us come from backgrounds where we have been part of projects that helped people build a better life for themselves, and hence we have extended that to Adtomica as well. We’re building a place where everyone belongs, everyone is heard, and everyone is given unsolicited advice on which mixer tastes better with Whiskey; which brings me to my next point.
While as a company, we collectively believe that we don’t need a reason to have alcohol and dance, we like to keep it meaningful as well. So, we celebrate, we celebrate a lot. First day at Adtomica – Drink, Second day at Adtomica – Drink, Third day… no no, we aren’t that lame, by day 3, we find something more substantial to celebrate. But yes, we love celebrating our people and celebrating together. I remember my first birthday with Adtomica and boy, did they make it special. I received cakes, flowers and a special Malana delivery (if you know what I mean, wink wink). What more can you ask for? Ab kya bacche ki jaan loge?
Now, if you ever decide to become a part of Adtomica, be assured that you will have the privilege of knowing two of our star pur-formers – Xena & Xander. They are calm, they are loving but they are not graceful, at all. The unsung heroes of our lives. They bring us so much joy, calmness, and relaxation. The best part, you won’t have to youtube ‘Funny cat videos’ every time you’re bored at work because you will have them around, somersaulting their way to your heart. P.S. They video call too!
Over and above this, we also believe in doing our part to promote a viable way of life because taking sustainability seriously is not an option anymore; it’s an opportunity for innovative growth. What was once a fad that many companies paid lip service to, is fast becoming a dynamic force for change.
The connected, amplified voice of social media has shifted the sustainability conversation from a technical to a humanizing one. We feel that it is now imperative for brands to add sustainability considerations to their products and their business strategy as well. Sustainability presents an opportunity for innovative growth and will become the key to survival, not just for brands but for the planet.
